Inaugural Pickleball for a Purpose Social
The Joe DeWaele Memorial Foundation is excited to announce that registration is now open for our Inaugural Pickleball for a Purpose Social! This event will take place at The Yards at TPC Sawgrass~ known for its exceptional sporting facilities and beautiful grounds. We will come together to remember Joe, celebrate community and our goal of funding high risk pediatric leukemia research at The Mullighan Lab at St. Jude Research Hospital.

Date: October 26, 2024
Location: The Yards at TPC Sawgrass, Ponte Vedra Beach
Time: Registration begins at 2:15, Games start at 3pm.
Cost: $150 per team; Paddle rental available for $7. Spectator pass $25.
What to Expect:
Participants and spectators at our Ingaugural Pickleball for a Purpose Social can expect a vibrant and engaging atmosphere, filled with both recreational and competitive play and community spirit. The event will feature a variety of skill levels, allowing both seasoned players and newcomers to participate. Teams are guaranteed 4-5 matches each, ensuring everyone has ample opportunity to compete. Participants are encouraged to bring their own paddles, however, rentals are available if needed. Spectators and participants can enjoy networking opportunities, music, vendors, televised college football, food and drinks. Additionally, there will be opportunities to learn more about JDMF’s mission to fund high risk pediatric leukemia research, with information designed to raise awareness and support for the foundation. Prizes will be presented to top performers, adding an extra layer of excitement to the competition.
